I find it hilarious that back in the old days their idea of a flying car was basically a sedan strapped to the underside of an airplane.

There was a trade in heads *before colonisation*
I'm a Maori.
Back then a Maori's haed was sacred. it was a common practice back then to cut off your enemies heads, put them on a spike, and cast insults at it, mock it, etc. So in war in which your tribe was getting slaughtered, If you were killed, your tribe might cut your head off and take it with them in retreat to prevent it falling into the hands of the enemy. Then your head would be put in a secret hiding place, or Burial ground... and it would be 'Tapu'... not to be touched lest bad things happen to you. Hence your people would treat your tribes heads with reverence, yet the enemies heads as profane...

Preserved Maori heads are called Moko Mokai. Early visitors to New Zealand, 1790 to 1840, would trade the heads for musket, gunpowder and shot. At first it was the heads of enemy warriors, but wanting muskets for inter-tribal warfare, the Maori realised that if they tattooed slaves they could maximise the number of tattooed heads without having to fight for them. This makes them controversial because the head is especially tapu ( forbidden, sacred holy) to Maori and hundreds of these heads are in museums across Europe and in the USA. The New Zealand government has been buying them back to keep them in a vault in The Papa Tongarewa - The Museum of New Zealand in our capital Wellington- until research can establish the iwi - tribe- - they came from. They are then repatriated for burial by the iwi.

Our culture ceased doing Ta moko because we were hunted for exactly that, the designs. Sadly it was our own who took these heads, for muskets. We have had some returned to us, and yes there is sadness attached.
There has now been a major resurgence of Ta moko in our country, Aotearoa, New Zealand 💙

What they don't say is that the huge aircraft building was covered over with a gigantic tarp. All of the roads, cars and homes were fake while operations underneath were running 24/7 continuously. Pretty cool if yòù ask me.

For anyone wondering when flying cars will return, they won't. Flying anything bigger than a recreational drone requires a license. Flying anything bigger than a commercial drone requires a pilot's license.
