Why I Don't Have an Office Anymore | My Regus Office Space Review

My Regus Office Space Review

Last year my wife and I sat down and planned out the goals for my business in 2019. One of which was to get a physical office.

The reason being is I was finding prospects and some clients didn't take me seriously when I would mention my business was run out of the house.

I would get questions like "If you don't have any expenses then why should I pay you thousands of dollars" or "You just seem like a guy in his basement. How are we going to trust you to do our marketing?".

So at the end of last year I took time to tour some office spaces. One of which was a Regus Office Space. The office seemed nice and it looked like a location where I would be comfortable bringing a prospect or client for a meeting. I then moved forward with getting an office space at Regus.

A month and a half after signing the agreement it was time for my move-in day! I was super excited to move into my first office and I went to the Regus center to get my key.

When I went the Regus office space it wasn't ready. There were holes in the walls, the paint didn't match the original paint, and my desk and chairs that I requested weren't in there.

I go into more detail in my video, but I eventually had to cancel my agreement and spend 5+ months chasing down my money.

Overall I would say my review of Regus and their office space is poor and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Top 5 Business books that helped me get to where I'm at and I HIGHLY recommend:

This book breaks down the world of marketing. This was the single book that got me into business and marketing. If you're looking to learn what marketing is really about and creative outlooks on it this is the book you want to get.

If you are into building your own business or your personal brand, this book will give you the ideas and steps needed to make that happen.

The art of cold calling is very close to being dead. Which means it gives us the opportunity to stand out in the crowd. This book is from the "King of Cold Calling" and I have met this man many times. If you want to learn in person sales this is the book for you.

Always be closing! I love this book because it has little nuggets on the lines to use to close deals. The first couple of pages is him rambling but after that the strategies are gold.

This book was great and lit a fire under me to move forward in life and chase big dreams. If you're struggling to make a plan with your life or think you aren't worth it or can't get there read this book.

Regus told me there's unlimited coffee in the lounge area, but didn't tell me they added a $30 monthly coffee/lounge membership fee to my account. There's no privacy if you sign up for a private office. The help desk ladies inspect the office without notice, and cleaning staff will enter without knocking. There's no IT help desk. The clueless front-desk ladies who's job it is to poor your coffee, double as "IT Support". Lastly, Regus is not an actual property management company. They are actually tenants who sublease office space. The real property managers are Regus' landlord. If you need help from the property manager, then Regus staff will call them for you. This place is a joke.

Please do not get an office space for clients. They dont care how you work. They care that you get results for them

I wish I would have done some Regus research early on . I’m going at it with Regus now.

With all due respect, there is no way of calling the Helpdesk rather a ticketing system. I am not sure if you are trying to make the review more exciting but that's the wrong information. Also, there is no charge for WiFi and you can opt out of Coffee charges as it is an ADDITIONAL service. :)

I have been with Regus for more than 6 years. They have a very good set up compared to their competitors. It has the right look and feel. HOWEVER, the location I've been with is completely un-acountable if things go wrong. They refuse to provide any managers if you run into issues. They simply say, "sorry, that is how i it is". A real issue will probably require you to hire legal help for resolution. Document everything. Make sure ALL correspondence is in writing (includes email). If you end up needing to solve things in a legal setting, words won't matter too much. No matter how nice the front desk people are, remember. they work for Regus, not you.

How does Regus mailing system work? I have multiple businesses and want all my mail sent to my virtual address, would I run into any issues with this?

I just toured an office in Lake Nona, Orland FL. It was 2K per month for an office the size of my closet. Me and my partner looked at each other and was like this is a major rip-off. For 4k to 5k per month, we can get a very large dedicated office. I think that is the route we will be taking. No way will we use them. We plan on hiring several employees. FYI their is nothing wrong with working from home. We have done this for years. I can see maybe a full virtual office for privacy and that is it.
