Tobey Maguire catching that food is definitely one of the best practical scenes caught on film!

The fact that Tobey Maguire kept trying to catch all that food on that tray until he finally got it was amazing

"Titanic" is still amazing. The full size replica, the visual effects... still breathtaking.

"How many time do you need to catch the food ?"
Tobey Maguire : "I can do this all day"

When I watched the plane scene from Mission Impossible - Rouge Nation for the first time in the theatre, it was really intense. I didn't know they can film outside instead of using CGI. I was shocked! It was crazy to see how Cruise pull his dangerous stunt like that!

My father lost his leg in WWII. There's an extra in the scene from Saving Private Ryan that has his leg blown off in that opening montage. He's just an actor portraying a very small moment of an incredibly realistic, brutal scene, but when I saw it in the theater I just lost it. It was hard to stop crying to watch the rest of the film. It's such a painfully realistic portrayal of brutality that leads up to probably one of the finest last bits of dialogue in film. I've never watched it again, don't think I can, but it's an amazing film.

The Abyss is seriously underrated. And yet, I love it! It deserves more praise and respect because the filmmakers nearly gave their lives to make it.

My Grandpa who was at the Storming of Normandy broke down in tears in a panic attack while watching the opening of Saving Private Ryan. He stated for the first time (to my knowledge) what serving duringWW2 was actually like.We rented the movie to watch after dinner one Friday night. I felt like a shit heel. I expected the reality of it to be much less. Grandpa LOVED watching old war movies until SPR. He was shook to the core.

3:50 I can see why it was difficult to film, Toby is so handsome!

In the same vein as "The bridge of the river Kwai" the ending of the original Wicker Man was a beautifully timed gamble. They burned the actual life size giant effigy right as the sun was setting and the way it feel along with brilliant color of the sunset was absolutely stunning.

That time Werner Herzog forced his crew to have a ship climb a hill.

I remember Tobey Maguire having to do that tray trick. Still can’t believe it wasn’t CGI

Thought Inception’s hotel corridor/hallway scene would be in there, that was a dope scene to conceive let alone film it inside a rotating set!

As awesome as it is, it’s important to note that the food on MJ’s tray had stuff that made it stick to the tray. But it’s still impressive that he got it to land upright.

I'm surprised 1917 didn't make the list. The techniques used to make long sequences look seamless were truly remarkable.

It may have been hell, but the payoff is there... the Abyss is hands down one of the most incredible films ever made

I have heard that the fight scene inside of church in Kingsmen: the Secret Sevice, took weeks to film (I believe that is 9 minute sequence). That scene also deserves honorary mention, imo.

Film crew: Does an unrepeatable and difficult scene.
Cameraman: Nice, this time I will press record!
