Close Call & Silly Pedestrians Compilation Part 3

It is interesting to compare all of the clips on this compilation to the last one shown in which the cyclist and pedestrian clash. I think it shows the difference between an experienced cyclist and a beginner or one that is not paying attention. And understand that many of these close calls on this compilation in which I managed to avoid a collision even if I was coming very fast (but below the speed limit) could have ended in a nasty accident. Part 3 of this beloved compilation. While some of these close calls are funny, some other ones could have ended up pretty badly if one of the parties wasn't paying attention. At times the city feels like a moving obstacle course... luckily these are only a few near misses, naughty people, but not major incidents. Have been collecting these videos over a few months, always too busy to do the editing, but I think this compilation is worth uploading.
Either you hate it or your heart will be pounding as you see a couple of inches could have made these fails a lot worse!

It is called Social Responsibility and too many people have lost it, which is the reason why so many people do stupid things when in the presence of others.

2:25 . . Did he really walk into the side of a stopped cyclist ? And then the media blame cyclists when a pedestrian gets hit and hurt...

Great videos about how to not to behave on traffic, would you not consider making a tutorial about how to cycle safely in the city for the young cyclists?

In the U.S. jay walking is an offence isn't it?, that's why they use the crossings.

_Rule 198_
_Give way to anyone still crossing after the signal for vehicles has changed to green. This advice applies to all crossings._

There are quite a few _"Pedestrian"_ videos appearing on YouTube, why do a lot of them show cyclists setting off under red/amber lights whilst there are pedestrians still crossing and why do the pedestrians get blamed?

Even under a green light you still have to wait until the pedestrians have crossed.

Remember red/amber traffic signals means STOP!

Watching this some of these are pedestrians fault but some are down to drivers and riders errors. I’m fully able bodied and some pedestrian crossing lights don’t have a green man long enough for me to reach the other side before it goes red and road users drive/cycle at you!
Now just imagine how someone who isn’t fully able bodied like the elderly or disabled who must struggle when it comes to crossing the road? Then get abused because road users can’t wait.

I always feel a bit sorry for pedestrians on my commute as they usually live there and are just trying to get where they need to be safely, so I give them the the benefit of the doubt and priority. Some of the examples you have captured are a bit much and they remind me of zombies, they really should know better than to cross a few yards short of the crossing but I guess that's what happens when there is too many people and not enough space.
