Hey Jim - as quickly as you put out these videos is the pace that I jump into Luminar to try things out and apply what you have shared. I can’t believe it was just 2 weeks ago that I had never heard of Luminar (or yourself for that matter) and now I’m a huge fan of both. Keep up the excellent work. As for future videos, I know Luminar is not intended to replace other graphical tools but I’d like to see so something around adding a text overlay (not just a watermark). Also, I get the impression that you have an inside scoop to what’s happening at Skylum so I would love to see anything that’s in beta / pipeline to see what the future holds for Luminar. Again THX for sharing of your time and talents.

Quick. Simple. Effective. Like all of your videos. Straight to the point. Shown with examples. What more could we ask for? Nothing. Thanks again Jim.

This is one of the filters I didn't completely understand, until now! Thanks Jim!

I continue to enjoy and learn much from this series. The verticle flip on the second image to adjust left and right was something I wouldn't have thought of. Thanks, Jim!

I didn’t realise that the gradient tool is so versatile. Thanks for an interesting video.

Another great video. It really helps to see practical applications of these tools. I wish you would have discussed how and why you might use a mask with Adjustable Gradient. One area I think may be worthy of a deeper dive is a discussion of how layers fit together and how to determine which layer you want to make adjustments on. For example, if you have an original image, an erase layer, a clone and stamp layer, an image layer and an adjustment layer - how do adjustments you make on one layer play through to the finished product. I think adding an image layer is particularly confusing.

You have used some image layer in a couple of your videos - and I think it would be helpful to explain the different means of blending these layers in. Also, what is Layer Transform about.

I previously mentioned the idea of adding smoke to a photo. I have took photos of a steam locomotive years ago under full power. Using Photoshop Elements, I have isolated the column of smoke coming off the engine. But of course in PSD format, I can keep the smoke on a layer that is otherwise blank. If I save the file as a jpg, the blank area is filled in. If I import it to Luminar to add to another locomotive picture is there any way to bring the PSD layer into Luminar. I am guessing the best solution, is to add the layer in Photoshop Elements and then further editing the photo in Luminar.

Good evening Jim,
Thank you for a clear explanation of adjustable gradient. I liked your photo of the Conwy river, taken from the Llanrwst bridge I'd guess. Keep the videos coming. Don

Another great video Jim, I have used some of your tutorials to create a couple of really nice images, and I am a complete novice when it comes to processing. Thanks for sharing

Another great deep dive video, Jim. I really enjoy getting refreshed on everything these tools can do. One of my favorite deep dives from a while back was color balance, so maybe a color enhancer (I think color balance is located there) would be a good one for a future video. Thanks.

Hi Jim, know that tunnel well. Took photo some years ago, not as good as yours :-) Enjoyed as usual your video.

Great video, again, Jim! But sadly, you didn't show us the mask option just below the menu because I'm pretty sure that we can do some really specific and interesting retouch with it! But, that's OK! I enjoyed your video tutorial.

Jim, how about a deep dive about how to best use Luminar with other programs. I typically download from Bridge to Adobe Camera Raw. I may do a lot of edits in ACR before going to Photoshop and now Luminar, but worry about over cooking my image in Raw before using Luminar. Any tips?

Hey Jim. Thanks for the videos man. I watch them often. But I need help with controlling the clone & stamp. How can I get the Clone to stop FOLLOWING me??? When it do that, I end up stamping other images. I put in part of the picture that I don't want in it....
