Hinduism also talks about it in Nasadiya Suktam (Hymn of creation) of Rig Veda-

1. Neither existence nor nonexistence was there
Neither matter nor space around

What covered it, where it was and who protected?

Why, that plasma, all pervading, deep and profound?

And there was neither day nor night

In Hinduism, the multiverse always existed. But, every 100 Brahma years or 311.04 trillion years, each universe gets renewed and the same matter(padarth) used in the previous universe is again used to renew it so that it works with the law of conservation of mass. This is similar to the theory of relativity, Einstein rosen bridges and multiverse theory, if studied carefully and completely with utmost devotion.

My opinion is that there was an another universe before our universe and before and going on.... Because Hinduism tells that the Yuga cycle keeps on going in endless ways so there might be something like that.
