#23 “ it’s why you don’t pass a cop” ?
Many times, where I live, law enforcement will drive 5 to 10 miles under the speed limit. Cars will stay behind them out of some weird fear. I’ll do the speed limit and pass them. It’s not against the law.
It’s only against the law if you pass them going over the speed limit.

These are all examples of what I've "Preached" to my 2 Sons ever since they started driving a couple of Decades ago "The 20 seconds you think you were gonna save gets ate up by the 20 minutes you spend beside the road when you get pulled over getting a Ticket, not to mention your 8 hours in the "Defensive Driving" Class you'll take".

I was the idiot one day trying to beat the yellow light and ran the red with a cop right there. I explained I was running late for work and that I admitted being an idiot and he actually let me go I couldn't believe it.

Now we have to hope that the people who receive the cop karma learn their lesson. Some do, but most don’t. They convince themselves that they had a legitimate reason to make the illegal move and blame everything on “that effing cop.”
