I was 19 when this album came out and my girlfriend at the time Amy, and I listened to it a lot. It was guaranteed to be played at every house party. Good days - I miss how simple things were then. If you're out there Amy, hello. I hope life has treated you well. Don

that groove though... from the end of the first verse until "you look so unhappy..." in 1971 that was the coolest thing anyone had ever heard. the piano riff syncopating with the rhythm section. DAMN!

and when Curtis Amy eases in with the tenor sax at 2:13... people completely lost their chill! sensual, bittersweet, and then that killer piano riff to end it.

this album was on the billboard charts for ALMOST SIX YEARS. unheard of now.

forget You're So Vain--I want to know who THIS song was written about. for 40+ years people have assumed it was James Taylor.

Another gem of a song from an absolute pearl of a singer from my era. By Christ, I was lucky to have such songs when I was younger and am even luckier to have survived 45 extra years to be able to enjoy them even more today.

Love this song! Really makes me feel like I'm back in the year 1971. I wasn't born yet, but I can imagine it was an awesome time period. When I hear this song, makes me imagine looking out the window on a rainy day, the weather is calm and tranquil, but somber and moody.

I've listened to Carol for 44 years I wore out the Tapestry record  three times. Her music never gets old just better. Go Carol King!

I remember my uncle was cleaning out his attic and he gave me all his vynal. This was one of the albums in the milk crates, and I can honestly say tapestry along with quadrophenia, and goodbye yellow brick road absolutely hooked me on rock n roll. This is still to date one of my favorite albums, but it truly ranks along side the greatest albums of all time. Tapestry is a lesson from one of the masters
