Oh my gosh Lyn, I LOVE these tour videos! Your plants look so fabulous and happy. So helpful to hear shrivelling opuntia is nothing to worry about too. Same weather here in Edinburgh, longing for Spring. Big smiles to you and Hans 🌺 Tish.

Beautiful video of the tour around the tunnel! I just seen it now (3 years later) but it is still beautiful! Love and hugs from the Island of Malta!

Oh, I would love a red Shlumbergera - another one for the plant wish list. Lyn, I'm glad that most of your green babies are safe. Good that that extreme weather is over. Love to you and Hans, Faith :) xo

It was a really abnormal winter here in the zone 5/6 of Colorado. I am already putting down seeds for flowers and fruit. Hope it's a good season!

Looking great Lyn! Always disappointing to see casualties with over-wintering, but it does happen (despite our best efforts). This is the first year I have really followed the advice of keeping cacti dry during the winter dormancy and it seems to be working.

Lyn, I've been wondering, how do you feel about using John Innes as a Vegan? As it contains hoof and horn meal. As a Vegan myself I don't use John Innes for this reason and I'm curious to know if you have found a Vegan friendly amended version of John Innes? All the very best wishes to you and Hans! Thank you for sharing your wonderful plants!

if there is ever an electricity failure, and you need something on short notice to protect your plants from frost, you can light some candles. there are even special anti-frost candles, like stopgel.

by the way - elephanti-pes means literally elephant's foot.
