I've admired Devin and his work for many years - I have no problem with him delivering something radio-friendly with this single. His concerts, his tours and his ideas are usually very, very expensive. He should (and he must) earn the money he has always deserved.

A new Devin Townsend release is always special. Knowing that Elizabeth is going to be on the album somewhere is icing on the "Awesomecake". Now you're telling us that you're going to react to a new song reveal tomorrow? I need to sit down...

A brilliant marketing move to give you access to this video ahead of time. Getting the video out to over 1 million subscribers works
really well!!!

You always have some of the best reviews/reactions out there and really appreciate the in-depth analysis! I'd love to see a reaction to Devin Townsend's "The Death of Music" live performance from Royal Albert Hall sometime and get your take on it.

This sounded so familiar to me for some reason and I couldn't figure it out until I realized Devin Townsend was the singer for Vai. Then it clicked. It totally sounds like one of their songs!

Because of your love for Devin Townsend, you should look into his oft-collaborator, Ché Aimee Dorval. Her voice is one the most beautiful on the planet.

As a fan of Hevy Devy since the Vai days ('93), I'm never surprised by what he does. When you look back over his illustrious canon, they guy's done just about everything, extreme metal, prog metal, prog rock, pop, straight up rock, electro, ambient, music theatre, alt-country, jazz,

God Jul on the chairs is Swedish for Merry Christmas. Maybe a Swedish train. Lovely song from Devin there. He has released other albums which are quiet, melodic and just beautiful. You really get all sorts with him. Love it!

Dear Elizabeth, you're so inspiring. I discovered the joy of listening to Devin almost exactly when the pandemic began here in Norway. I have also worked on the trains shown in the video. I sincerely believe that Devin speaks directly to my soul. Everything happens for a reason. Also there's you... You remind me of someone, but I can not put my finger on it, but anyway: your every analysis, your effort, your smile and lovely personality is so beautiful!

Love from Espen!

I love his music but this is just something else, the visuals mixed with the difference in the vocals are just magical!
It was great fun watching you getting so excited about it, plus I guess that you’re really excited to be part of the Album!

I appreciate that Devin made sure the windshield wipers are wiping at the same tempo as the music @13:50 Just another cherry I'm sure he added!

What you really wanted to say is its "really full of DEV!!!!" I absolutely LOVE this side of Dev, because when the chaos of the day-to-day takes a toll on me, I can put on my headphones and escape.

Awesome that you added your voice to his new album. I just love the diversity of his music. The last tour featured a lot of metal, the next one will be very interesting with the more accessible vibe. I love it all.

If you love soft Devy, you'll love his album Ghost. It's the most soothing, breathtaking, floaty album, and easily my favourite thing Devin's ever done. "Fly" and "Feather" from that album are especially good.

Elizabeth if you haven't seen it already...(think he was in New Zealand for this version) he did 'Bring Him Home' from Les Miserable. Absolutely stunning. Can't wait to see your reaction tomorrow!

lovely review!
if you haven't already I'd recommend listening to Devin's "Ghost" album, I'd say it's his most chill and meditative album, super soothing

This song makes my soul feel like it's floating, and I could listen to this forever. I have been a fan of Devin for some time, and to hear new music on the horizon is absolutely exciting for me; and I'm sure many others too, heh.

Oh, really enjoyed this track, and wow that’s amazing that you contributed vocals to the new Devin album! Devin’s vocals here reminded me of Neige from Alcest. Their music combines wistful atmospheres with black metal, and Neige uses both clean and harsh vocals, definitely worth checking out.
