Hey guys! Did our riddles break your head? ;-)

The witch already said the only way to cross the river is to swim across it, meaning it wouldn't freeze over. So if you're allowed to make the false assumption that because it's winter time the river will be frozen (not all rivers freeze in winter) then you can make any assumptions you want. I said after 100 days a bridge was built. But someone could have built a dam and it was now a dry river bed.

these questions are mostly very open ended and could have multiple answers
they were not well structured riddles

For the last question, what about breathing?

Honestly, the information is presented in a way that makes it very hard to examine it. In the car accident, you should present all statements at once in a list

ok but how are you supposed to answer number two? they say river and it shows moving water, which means the water wouldn't freeze because it was in motion, also, in Texas, bodies of water hardly ever freeze mid winter

For number 2 you could just swim across without the tunic because no one said that you needed to use it

yes it was winter but we weren't told what climate the place had

A much better title would be " 5 Dad Riddles to make you overthink a riddle thereby taking away from the cleverness of a well thought out and written riddle and leaving you wondering whether these were in fact actual riddles to begin with, and if they are they seem like they were likely written by a 4th grader that was asked to make up a riddle in under an hour."

Couldn't the last one be living on earth?

Number 2 is only obvious to those who live where rivers freeze. In Australia there are no rivers that freeze over. ADDED: See Ender Girl's reply to my comment below - a perfectly valid solution for countries like Australia, and I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of this answer myself!! Kudos to Ender Girl!!

The bonus question was needless as it doesn't test anything substantial. However the hutch riddle is a brilliant mathematical question and was the one question where it got me. The Prince riddle is ridiculous as you'd have to imagine yourself in a climate where rivers freeze during winter. I live in India and many of the rivers here flow throughout the year with temperature changes.
