Good attempt, but some mistakes in here. A continuous variable is not defined as existing in some range, rather it has an infinite number of possibilities within a given non infinite range. A discrete variable can be non-categorical. Also, a categorical variable is not classified as binary except when there are only two categories, such has heads or tails. Logistical regressions are called regressions because you still are performing a regression in attempt to classify. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Actually, a discrete variable can be non-categorical. Discrete just means (mathematically speaking) that it is not continuous. Discrete is essentially like an integer. They are discrete because there are numbers between them. So populations of animals is an example of a discrete non-categorical variable.
