Not only was the song a hit, but whenever the duo appeared on stage to sing the song, their chemistry was undeniable. One can even argue that it was their chemistry that made the song into one of the most memorable duets of all time.

Their chemistry has also sparked countless rumors of whether the two were ever an item. One of Rogers' ex-wives recently commented on what she felt about Dolly Parton. Let's find out what she had to say.

My brother used to drive Dolly's tour bus. He told me, " Dolly is nothing but a lady".

Dolly Parton is an American treasure. If only everybody could have her self-esteem and self-confidence to be themselves and not care what others say or think, the world would be a better place. Dolly aint never changed who she was for nobody or to simply fit in.

Thank you for an honest and non mudslinging article about three Class Act People: Kenny, Dolly and Marianne! RIP Kenny, and we'll always love your music and keep playing it in your memory.

saw Kenny so many times at Harrah's in Tahoe, even when I didn't actually go into the show you could sit at the " rendezvous lounge " bar in Tahoe and see him on stage behind the bartender . Could not hear him but you could see him . Loved his show with his 1st addition band as well as well . Steve Martin was Kenny's " warm up act " for a while there also . I loved the 70's when I lived in Sacramento . There were only 4 casinos in Tahoe back then . The show stars would come down Late at night to walk around and play games . There was hardly anyone in the Tahoe Casinos in the middle of the night except for the janitors cleaning up and a few tables open . I met so many stars one on one that way . Dom Deluise, BB King, Kenny . They would just sit at talk with you . great times ...

Everyone were under the assumption that these two were more than friends.
Dolly and Kenny had a connection, it was a beautiful thing. Listening these two performing together was inspiring.

I think the key in his wife not being “jealous” so to speak, is that he was truly taking care of her and her needs. It is in (most often) a place of lack in a relationship (and/or self) when you see the green eyed monster show up. He respected his wife and he respected Dolly. Stand up man! You will be missed Kenny.

I met Kenny Roger's when I was about 12 or 13 ....he was so nice and it would have been easy for him to not have been THAT nice but he was. I have always remembered that too..he was just genuine :)

A friend of mine worked on Dolly’s house in LA. The guy installing the hardwood floors was a dead ringer for Kenny Rogers. The first time she saw him she yelled and ran over and gave the guy a big hug. Bet your ass they were all big Dolly fans after that! She’s a good sport!

Mary Ann Gordon is a "Class Act." Good for her for not going on and on about certain details of her married life. So many today want to "AIR THEIR DIRTY LAUNDRY" for a few dollars. Makes me sad to think about it.
