While there are some fine additions, it seems like the feature request forums have been ignored for the most part. It wouldn't be such a big bummer if it wasn't such a long time between updates.

I'm lost on what is shown at 8:06 to 8:15. In both cases it looks like you have a run of extrusion that's not supported by anything nor is it bridging, and it's just all going to fall down and smear onto your part. This is similar to problems I've been having with S3D trying to print "in air" without being smart enough to extend & stitch it to infill or to a perimeter if necessary.

Well done for getting this out so quickly!
Top of my wish list: I'm hoping they've fixed the bug where the brim that's supposed to help keep your part on the bed is attached to the ooze-shield and not the part itself!! That was as dumb as hell. :(
UPDATE: Just installed 4.1, and this bug is still there!!
What with them deleting forum posts they don't like, not having a proper user manual, being super-secretive about minor updates, the HUGE gaps between updates and bugfixes, generally behaving like children - I am done with S3D.
It is good, but not $149 good. There are now more capable slicers available (IMHO, it only has the lead in Processes - others do much of the rest for No Money Paid).

Hey Jeff I just got my first 3D printer today ( Geeetech A10 single extruder), Does simplify 3D have a profile for my printer ? Cura and EasyPrint 3D doesnt have any profiles for my printer.

Could you tell me what is the size of the software when it is installed on a apple computer?

The technique of printing the partially mixed filament between changes as infill, not a wipe tower, seems much superior. You might investigate that for your channel

I ran into a real issue. When I upgrade to 4.2.1 I had some issues where the printer tried to print on the front left corner. Tried moving it by by doing an x, y offset ... only moved it on the x but not the y ... this is on a CR10S Pro. Updated the firmware from tiny machines and added a bltouch before all this went to hell in a hand basket. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Great info! As a side question, what printer did you use on the config assistant did you use for the Geeetech A10M? It is not listed. Also, do you know how to setup scripts for the A10M for color mixing? Also where can I find the cone for testing that you show on teh video? Thanks in advance.

Thanx for the knowledge. My update checker in the version before this one claimed mine was up to date, even though it wasnt, lol.
One concern I was having was the software was removing segments from 3d prints, such as I'd import a guitar, and after slicing, it deleted cross section segments from the guitarbody, as if the model of the guitar had been printed, and then had a router carve out a channel for no apparent reason and it wasn't detectable until actually printing. Or printing a basic sign, and it was deleting cross section segments on the underside of the sign, therefore expecting those deleted segments to print in mid air gaps, which is entirely impossible to print, so I had to try to lower the sign below the printplate, just enough to overtake the deleted segments, and that was a real hassle, as the gaps were sometimes very minimal and easily missed during examination. It's not free software, and that was a bug that should not appear in paid software.
Hope that slicing bug is fixed in this newer version.

Looks like they did some great stuff to the software. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I was just using sequential printing last night and was irritated that it did not detect where it was going to hit.

you're right -- these changes to angles of bridges are going to be huge. I hope it does what I hope it does -- will take a look... the thing that has always bothered me is how inflill wasn't smart so top layers would end up overhanging the infill -- it becomes a bigger deal with sparse infill on large nozzle machines...you end up not having a start/stop point for top layers as infill was just following a specified pattern, hope that was fixed

I have been unable to print on my Replicator 2 using Simplify3d for some time now. I believe this all began with the newer versions of the software (before 4.1 even. May be starting with 4.0) and they do not let you download older versions of the software which is terrible.

Does 4.1 support the gradient capacity of mixing printers?

Thanks for the review. I don't understand why Smplify3D does not send out notification on the release. In the software Help->Check for Updates does not work either. I used that to check for update and get "Your software is up to date!" message box. Simplify3D is great but I cannot say the same for their support. Is it me or their support is non existence? I think Simplify3D needs to do a better customer support.
