Sir if we want to understand the DE we must comprehend spinors. To understand spinors we need Clifford Algebra, advanced linear algebra. Anything else ? The operations of normal determinants and Matrices are simple and all engineers know it. However, hard core LA is a different ball game . I have heard about a term alled Square root of a matrix, Bohr was surprised when Dirac mentioned it to him. What is it ? Do the Theoretical min books address these ?
