Here's the maths:
Texas Toast $2.99/17= $.17 per slice
eggs $2.79/12 = $.23 per egg - (In my case, the eggs were 'free' since they were laid by my hens.)
American cheese $4.28/16 = $.26 per slice
ham $5.99/17=$.35 per slice (Enough to make 2 sandwiches.)

($.17x2) bread + $.23 egg + $.26 cheese + ($.35/2) ham = $1.00!

I bet, instead of parsley for color, chopped green onion would add as much color and amazing flavor.

This just inspired me to take the open faced bologna sandwich from my childhood (cheese, bologna, slice of tomato) but make a whole oven-roasted sandwich outta it with an egg on top!

I make something similar, but I scramble the egg & mix it with the cheese, then spread it on lightly buttered bread and air fry until the egg is puffed up & set.

I love garlic fermented in honey. That garlic and honey would be incredible for this.

I've been a fan of Cooking Haru for years, I'm really glad they're getting recognized over here in the states now! Sometimes it seems impossible to make food from Asia authentically but you make it look so simple. And this sando looks

IDK about the rest of y'all, but I grew up with my dad make "egg in a hole." Always awesome. Then, I was given a flip pan little panini pan and I quickly learned that baby omelettes and eggs-in-a-hole were so fun and easy for my kids to make.

I really appreciate your joy and your bright, loving enthusiasm the food. You are refreshing an amazing host of food and culinary cuisine. I really appreciated you with your MRE reviews and your emergency style food reviews. You always have a great perspective and a very inquisitive mind for shelf stable foods. It’s great seeing you produce, what you love!

I’ve been a long time fan of been watching your channel for years and watching it grow. Well deserved.

I just made this. The entire egg was super runny after baking it at 355 for 15 minutes. I recommend baking for 25 to 30 minutes if you have a large egg. I finished mine in the microwave for one minute and it still tasted yummy.

Emmy, this reminds me of a breakfast sandwich that I once had on an Amtrak trip across the country. It was very tasty!

Oh god my mouth is watering! I'd also like you to know that I didnt used to eat eggs (texture issues) but because of your bright positivity I got myself to eat them again, and find ways to enjoy them! Ill be looking out for some texas toast so I can try this.

I grew up in Oklahoma and (at least in my house) we never used Texas Toast for regular garlic toast. (If we wanted that, we bought a French loaf and cut it ourselves.) Texas Toast was reserved for this type of sandwich. We didn't always do an egg, but we did always use a rough & tumble 80s toaster oven that got the outsides extra crispy while the inside stayed soft. Great with all the typical savory sandwich fixings but I would also make PB&J or PB&B (banana) this way, with a divot in the bread to hold just a little extra filling in the middle and having gently pressed the crusts together to reduce leakage. 🥰

Mathed it out for Real Canadian Superstore shopping. Bread .49 for 2, egg .34 each, cheese slice .25 each, mayo using 1 tbsp serving size measure .19, butter same way of measuring .20, shredded cheese was a range for serving size so went with 35g was .74. Total 2.21 for each sandwich.
