That's stupid because what someone means when they say if I can't touch it or see it, is really if they can't use their senses to know it's there then they won't believe it's there. It's not restricted to only touching or seeing. You can also HEAR which means it's still empiricism and you haven't pointed out any problem with it with your example. 😂🤦‍♂️

He’s not talking about seeing or touching the idea that was written on paper or through text because at that point you wouldn’t be touching or seeing the idea but rather the material that you wrote it on. What he is saying is that you cannot see or touch the idea itself. Ideas are something that you cannot see or touch but are very much real and exist.

Allow people to believe what they wish. It's not up to you, faith doesn't have to be challenged or proven. You don't have to disrespect another if they don't think like you. You just prove your insecurity.
