This sort of thing is why the entire nation of the Netherlands has half as many traffic lights as New York City…

Two yield signs and they wipe your over-engineered traffic light out of the way

In the uk the vast majority of junctions take the form of a main road and a minor road where traffic on the minor road yields to the major road. Traffic lights are used where there is so much traffic on the main road that people would have to wait too long to enter from the minor road so the traffic lights give them a turn. Stop signs are almost unheard of. You only have to stop if there is someone coming thw other way.

This works cause of natural human order, a concept that Americans and Canadians don’t seem to understand

Sadly this only really works if you manage to reduce car traffic to a low count

You did pretty well pronouncing the first to names but the Plantage Middenlaan is Plantaɣ-uh Middenlon. J usually make a Y sound.

well if we had that kind of things here in the us I assure you that there will be dumb people that will run the yield sign without even checking
