If budget was the reason behind rehiring then TCS wouldn't hire experienced people from other organisations. Only reason is to curb the attrition rate, stay lowest in the industry. If an employee who joined TCS as fresher can compare his/her salary with other orgs then can find how underpaid he/she is. Also majority who stays longtime in TCS are either having promotion/onsites on time or having less courage to cop up in other company's environment or old enough to switch.

Moral of the story is Never Join TCS as a fresher! . join once you want to settle down or planning to retire because that's when you will need better salary with Job security and relaxed work life balance.

My manager pointed out that I will not be able to join back after I leave TCS. The thought that came to my mind then was " But why would I join TCS again :) "

The harsh reality is TCS employees are deprived of industry-standard compensation anyway. After every promotion, the salary structure should be rationalized. That doesn't happen in TCS. Those employees are getting a 6-7% hike / Band A only if they are visible to the manager. If one resource is part of Horizontal and that resource is deployed in a vertical but the review is being done by Horizontal manager and since this horizontal manager has not worked closely with the resource, they provide the band on assumption. Only for getting onsite doesn't justify staying at TCS for years while resources at other companies will flourish technically and financially.

I recently left tcs in beginning of this month. Worked for 3 years. Even after getting good rating for 2 years my salary hardly increased. I worked in IT project for 1.5 years, I only asked to give me recognition in IT as I was hired in BPO. Only one band promotion was required for that and I was eligible. My manager told lies that he will tag me to IT when I resigned. I asked him to give me this in written and he denied and even shouted at me. Now I have joined another company with 80 % hike as data analyst. Even if tcs changes its policy and allows to rehire ex employees, I will be the one who will not join. TCS have no retention policy. They know it very well that if an experience employee leaves they will hire fresher on half of the salary of experienced guy. They know how to take advantage of unemployed Indian population. But its good for freshers that they get opportunity to work in tcs. My suggestion to experienced people, if you r found of working in tcs only join if you r satisfied with the salary they r offering or you r planning to retire. Remember your salary will hardly increase in tcs unless u get opportunity to go onshore.

Even I also worked for 3 years in TCS, I will not agree this exit policy ones the employee go out should not come in this logic had worked before pandamic, but post pandemic all situations got changed. There is 20-30 % ittrition rate in every company after COVID. So TCS need to rethink and should revise the exit policy otherwise they might face lot of challenges in recruiting the employee, even after conducting a mega drives also there is no sufficient employees who are joining in TCS. So there should be gap like 2-3 years after exit and candidate can rejoin after 2-3 years, here based on the candidates profile again conduct a tough interview only, so if candidates cleared this interview then they should get the hike what they are expecting.

Note: No company has right to stop the potential growth of candidate and his talent, money secondary but talent make sense.

I have a manager who rejoined on demand from one of his friends in tcs... So only employee can't join it.. but you you have connection you can join...

People who are working with same company for life time .
Reasons :
1) Company is excellent in every aspect (No company is perfect )
2) Afraid to move other company
3) Not able to upskill

After watching this video, I kinda feel that both the reasons are totally absurd.
As stated in the 1st reason that other TCS employees may feel it's not fair, so what about lateral hires?
And 2nd point about using familiarity to get into TCS is completely bullshit, u never know who is going to interview you cause the person is not disclosed to u before hiring, moreover TCS interviews are quite easy as compared to other IT companies as TCS wants to give people a chance.
No hard feelings bt information conveyed through this video is just speculation.

Most of the managers are not happy bcoz the new joines having half of manager's experience are getting double the salary of managers..so that's why no rejoin

These reasons are for every company so why the dont do that.
And if a non tcser came here after two switches and get 3 times more than a loyal Tcser, so if this is fair with that tcser. Whats diffrenve then

Tcs never gives 10% hike boss. If it does then most of ex-employees will never leave TCS . Maximum hike even after 100% revenue employees get only 2 to 5% maximum …if project don’t perform then don’t even think about hike

No matter how hard you work and give better performance, you will always get C or D band. Only manager and team lead favourite people gets A and B band.

None of these are correct reasons. TCS doesn't hire ex-employees only to keep attrition rate under control. Thats why it enjoys best attrition rate among its competitors.

No TCS ex employee will ever want to go to TCS back because of their worst system of WBTs. It is just waste of time, distraction from project work and too much extra burden. Most of the people leave TCS because of their WBT mandatory culture
