Also, the change of seasons, mild weather, and lower house insurance/propertyTax costs can impact relocation halfway to Asheville from those frustrated after moving to Florida from the Northeast.

Your videos are great! They are very well done and we love to learn more. We are considering a move in a few years to Asheville and we happen to live in FL. I do think you fairly call out a few cost disadvantages to Asheville but there is one in FL that you may have missed. Property insurance and car insurance prices have become untenable in FL. Our property insurance rates are 5x the cost that they were 6 years ago. Hurricanes have really taken a toll on the industry here. We've also seen our car insurance rates rise considerably since we have been here (8 years). So, for someone to truly evaluate the cost differences between FL and Asheville, that should be taken into consideration as well.
