i don't understand how the power jumper works, isn't the pump power source coming from the mother board? how could it send power to the pump? or is the jumper cored part of the kit and connect directly to the pump?

There's just zero purpose other than aesthetics to have a half loop other than aesthetics. You're much better off just getting an AIO cooler. It's much cheaper, more convenient to remove if needed, and exponentially less likely to leak. Custom loops aren't worth the headaches. I'm talking from experience here
