My grandfather on my mother's side was a zephardic jew from Malaga, Spain. He migrated to Puerto Rico, not clear when. All i know is that my mother observed jewish traditions, and though, both my mother and father were " catholics", never went to church. Thank you for this wonderful video.

My family is one of these families! My family left Spain and moved to Denmark, which also welcomed Sephardic Jews. Then my family moved to England, which also welcomed lot of Sephardic Jews settled. We brought fish and chips to England, traditional Sephardic food for Hanukah, and now it's a stable in the UK.

This was very important for me as my roots are Sephardic Jewish of my dad that was exiled by the Spanish Inquisition, then settled on the Iberian Peninsula. I'm excited that my DNA shows of 14.10% of Sephardic Jewish, North African/middle eastern of 6% and also Iberian-Madiera/Azores.

From my DNA testing, I found out I have a Sephardic Jewish heritage. My family is from Mexico, but my DNA is mostly Spanish 57% and 10% Basque. This is very fascinating.

Many of the Sefaridim fled Iberian peninsula and settled in Macedonia, I'm born there, in that time during ottoman Macedonia was a rich prosperous country and the Jews prospered and had a peaceful life. One of the oldest sinagogues are found in Macedonia, they fought for the liberation of Macedonia in the ilinden uprising. The famous Rafael Moshe Kamhi was a Jew who helped the first macedonian republic, fought against Islam against the Turks together with the macedonians.
During the 2ww, 90% of the macedonian Jews died in Treblinka, bulgarians occupied Macedonia and the Jews were persecuted, robbed and brought to Treblinka . Bulgarians entered macedonian homes asking "do u have hidden Jews in ur home? If so, u go with them in Treblinka or suffer consequences" . As I know many macedonians suffered or died or were brought to b gassed cause we're protecting the Jews.

I am very interested in the history of the Middle Easst, historic origins & archaeology primarily. I have been led to believe the State of Israel was agreed on the basis of all Jews leaving their historic homes in Persia, Saudi Arabia etc., many of the Arab States being formed relatively recentl. Those Jews together with many refugees from Europ who managed to outlive the Holocaust moved to Israel as well as USA. I was not aware the 1967 war caused Jews to move to Israel. The Sephardic history is fascinating. I would be interested to see their post Roman history expanded upon. Thank you.

In order to have everlasting life you absolutely must trust in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation 💖 this means that saving repentance is turning from unbelief to belief ❤.
