Reaction and debate following Everton’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. A good solid performance from Everton resulted in them picking up their first point of the season.

There were positives throughout, however, Leicester got themselves back in the game with the Blues relinquishing yet another lead.

Ian Croll, Chris Beesley and Gav Buckland discuss whether it was one point gained or two points dropped.

In other news, reports have surfaced today stating The Friedkin Group are close to a takeover of the club. The lads will discuss what this means as attentions now turn to Crystal Palace at home this Saturday.

Jarrad Branthwaite came through an U21s match on Sunday afternoon and could be in contention for a starting place in a match the Blues really must win.

thanks for the podcast as always, fellas. i'll be glad when the moshiri era comes to an end, no doubt about that. with hindsight, and considering the negotiating games tfg played when acquiring roma, it was probably obvious that friedkin would come back in to complete the deal. i agree with what gav says about textor coming across as more of a "football man" and that's why i'm slightly disappointed were getting tfg over textor. however, having said that, textor was an absolute barmpot wasn't he? he had passion, he was talking about bringing in the world's best players, he was telling us how wonderful goodison was, and how prestigious it would be to own everton. he was even talking about bringing the fans into the ownership fold by making shares available to them. and maybe to some degree i was seduced by that all that. tfg seem like a much cooler proposition, and maybe that's what's required to get us back on track. time will tell.

Walsh was a scout at Leicester City, he had no idea how to be a director of football. Next Director of Football was constantly over ruled because Moshiri wanted to bring his own choice of players in. Moshiri barely spent any of his own money. He used the sales of players and the money from premier league to buy players, as for the stadium he put £50 million in. Thelwell has NOT done a good job as director of football, most of his signings have been shocking. He should have been sacked on the spot for wasting 30+ million on Beto, who clearly is not a premier league player. He is more a wrestling lunatic. Dyche should be removed as soon as possible, before we end up in a position where we are completely rooted at the foot of the table and unable to get out of a relegation fight, coz it won't be a fight if he remains in charge. His substitutions have been utterly baffling and have cost us matches. He talks good statistics, but strangely tactically clueless. He has to go as soon as possible along with Thelwell. Sorensen the manager of the women's team is a complete joke too who also should be sent packing.

Another big factor is the poor substitutions from Dyche

The Everton Football Club Limited, incorporated on 14 June 1892 are tuning in their graves re the shahanadigs of billionaires wanted to claim ownership of our beoved club. The new stadium however is the makings of a new period of financial stability in counter to the hellish past 5 years we have all suffered.

Baffles me being 60 because I can't remember Everton fans do anything other than moan and complain about everything.
