Russia launches massive drone and missile attack targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure

Explosions were heard across Ukraine overnight in a nationwide Russian missile and drone attack, targeting energy infrastructure throughout the country.

Several civilians were killed from Odesa and Mykolaiv in the south to the Lviv region in the west, while vast swathes of the country are under emergency blackout. And the Polish prime minister, in a reference to Germany's Chancellor Scoltz, said it showed "no one will stop Putin with phone calls".

Hearing the German chancellor makes me sick.... His country along with Russia built the pipelines. A huge undertaking to benefit both countries. Relations would have been good to achieve this... The german manufacturing base hugely benefit from the pipeline and cheap energy it provided .. Now they make out they hated the Russians all along...

Zelenskiy had agreed in principle to a peace deal March 2022 in Istanbul. Zelenskiy instead listened to the likes of Boris Johnson, not to sign. Istanbul deal was far better than any deal Zelenskiy will get in 2025.
