Autism and Christmas Milestones

Having a special needs child we know that sometimes milestones are never reached but some times they may come years later. This was the first time we took her to pick our her own Christmas presents. It was sad and happy all at the same time. Yeah, Abbie still shops in the toddler section for her favorite toys but they make her happy.

Cot, 11, 2024. That smile on her face, when she was in the toy isle, she was so happy. She probably will forget them when she got home, but wil be excited when she opens it again. on Christmas day. She is growing up, and is changing and trying out and exploring new thing in life.

I'm nearly 30 and bought a children's toy for myself yesterday. Who cares what the recommended age group is? The point is if it puts a smile on your face then you know it's right for you. Let's be real, Abbie's smile doesn't just light up the room, it sets the world on fire and if a toy does that then give the girl her dang presents!
