Chex mix:
Ingredients:
Rice Chex: 3 cups (90 grams)
Corn Chex: 3 cups (90 grams)
Wheat Chex: 3 cups (90 grams)
Garlic Flavored Bagel Chips: 1 cup (90 grams)
Mixed Nuts: 1 cup (120 grams)
Bite-sized Pretzels: 1 cup (110 grams)
Butter: 6 tablespoons (85 grams), melted
Worcestershire Sauce: 2 tablespoons (30 grams)
Seasoned Salt: 1 1/2 teaspoons (7 grams)
Garlic Powder: 3/4 teaspoon (2 grams)
Onion Powder: 1/2 teaspoon (1 gram)
Directions:
1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 3 cups each of Rice Chex, Corn Chex, and Wheat Chex. Add 1 cup of garlic-flavored bagel chips, 1 cup of mixed nuts, and 1 cup of bite-sized pretzels. Mix well to combine.
2. Prepare Sauce: In a separate bowl, mix together 6 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoons of seasoned salt, 3/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder. Stir until well combined.
3. Coat Chex Mix: Pour the sauce mixture over the dry ingredients in the large bowl. Use a spatula to gently toss and coat all the ingredients evenly with the sauce.
4. Bake: Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread the coated Chex mix onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
5. Bake and Stir: Bake the Chex mix in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even baking and prevent burning.
6. Cool and Serve: Once baked, remove the Chex mix from the oven and let it cool completely. Transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container. Enjoy your homemade Chex mix as a tasty snack!

I'm making some now. the original chex mix from the 1950s there was no microwave oven
Even the recipe on the box is wrong the original even called for celery salt 1/2 teaspoon, But you are so right it's so much better than what you buy in the stores.

I like to add a little sweet to my Chex. I use Teddy Graham’s to mine. Great video and good job!

Wow! Those look so yummy! Is there a substitute for the nuts, or do you just take them out? (Sorry I ask every time, I'm just curious =))

Well chex mix is more complicated than I thought - I thought it was just the stuff from the boxes mixed up in a bowl then served. No idea it had a sauce and was cooked! Edit: maybe you could do a series of videos on 50's and 60's snack / dessert foods? Call the series "Retro Snacks"?
