is it aight if i consider a 0.83mm halfway open, 1.66mm fully open and 2.5 a 1 guard (sorry for the bunch of numbers i need help in understanding my clipper)

How does the #1 guard open not create a visible line? U went #4 on base then straight to #1 open but somehow that looks blended. Did u skip steps or am i missing smth?
