Strange Sounds Detected on Mars

On Christmas Day 2021, the InSight lander recorded strange sounds on Mars.

The source of this signal remained a mystery. Later, it was found that the signals originated from a meteoroid's impact on the Red Planet. The images show that the crater was 500 feet wide. There also existed boulder-sized blocks of water ice around the crater, which possibly kicked up from beneath the surface after the impact.

As someone who's used to literally read sound waves, I can see the initial impact, then I can hear the resonance, then that short brief peak of the sound waves coming back from hitting a more dense region below as it bounces back and forth a few more time before the decay, followed by a cascade of debris rolling/falling downhill and to a halt. Sounds like that clip was sped up a little.
