My cat did that.
He use to walk around the apartment, stop in his tracks, look up and around at something. When I came home, he'd jump up on my lap, look up and all around me. Several times he growled and launched toward something he could see that I could not. Once in the middle of the night he jumped up on top of me and begin to growl at something in the air. He was always stopping, and looking at something for long periods of time that stood above him, while he walked around. When resting, he'd sit bolt upright and look upwards at something and then come and sit beside me, or on my lap, his tail wagging, a sign of anger in a cat. He followed me everywhere in the apartment, never leaving me alone. I believe whatever it was eventually killed him as he got extremely ill and passed away.
It was after my cat passed away I began to be assaulted at night. I was scratched, shoved and found bruises in the morning. I moved out of that apartment.

My family's dogs did this when I helped someone move into their new place, they started to low growl with zero barking. I didn't even look over to the hallway because of how shook I was, one of the most anxiety filled to the brim moments of my life so far 😅

Horses can also see them. When my friend and I were riding in the forest in 2019, our horses stopped in the middle of the road. There was no one there. They didn't want to move even though we pushed them forward. They stood still.We had the feeling that someone was watching us, and we were alone with the horses. It was a strange feeling of anxiety.
