2 years ago. I almost died of Fibroid. I had emergency surgery and the Dr took out 33 fibroids with a gigantic one. am just with 30 to 35 of age. However, Dr said there are still 2 very tiny ones that in a very delicate place and to save my womb they did touch @t after my surgery I started taking fresh turmeric, celery juice, more of fiber, lots of water and very conscious of what I eat. also I do a lot of walking as an exercise. so after 2years, I want for a check-up and the Dr confirmed that the fibroid is still the same size and good news is that it didn't increase.

I've done iron both pills and IV, eat a pescatarian diet, have had the depo shot, and hysteroscopy, have had BC too. All had adverse effects. Not even thinking about that embolism procedure as polyps were removed that attached to fibroids grew back and fibroids emerged in other areas. Hemo was 4.3, had 4 units of blood, and it dropped right back within a year with all those treatments. Tried a bio-identical HRT of progesterone but to no avail. Currently looking at a vaginal hysterectomy in my 30s.

Just sad I had to wait so long because people and doctors kept telling me to hold on in case I want a baby. I would like a better quality of life first. It's like people forget I'm a living, breathing human being and postpone my relief for the imaginary person I may or may not have.

Maybe I just came here to vent, but I'm glad you're sharing this information. We're not told enough and by the time we learn enough, we're thousands of dollars out and years of pain and depression put upon us.

Im a 29 year old black woman and ive been experiencing symptoms since i was 25. Im planning on scheduling an appointment with a specialist, to see my options to releive myself. I lost an early pregnancy(4.5 wks)last February and thats wen i found out I had fibroids. I want to have a child. And i want to explore options so it can be fulfilled.

I am 42 years old and have 2 kids. I have fibroids pushing on my bladder and my bowels. I also have an abnormal pap. I am going to have a hysterectomy saving my ovaries because I'm done with child bearing and frankly I'm over the stress of it all not to mention the fear of cervical cancer which my aunt died from. I am married but my sex life is non existent. I just want to be free from periods and pain.

I just turn 72 to find out recently I was having frequency and pressure in my pelvic.
ultrasound show fibroid size 11cm.
For the last 30yrs I always had an annual ob/gyn check up.how did they miss it.
