The reason it’s called “North Carolina” is because North Carolina and South Carolina were a combined state called “Carolina”, and when they broke apart the southern part was named “South Carolina” and the North part “North Carolina”, you’re welcome!

As a person who lives in NC I have a few things to say about our state


You can’t go a day in Vanceboro without seeing some form of neo confederate things

ECU builds up Greenville, without it, it is a ghost town here

New Bern in its whole is built off the revolutionary war and pepsi

Winterville is a more south-like, wannabe version of Greenville

Most peaceful day in Durham will be a shootout and one felony-theft

Average house in northern Raleigh is like Bill Gate’s home

You are gonna most likely find the Kool Kids Klub in Maysville (if you know what I mean)

Outer Banks in Fall/Winter is a ghost town

That’s just some of NC for you!
