When somebody sends a long text respond to the last part of the text first and work backwards. Shows you read the whole text before responding.

When people say "first impression" they talk about the whole first interaction. The whole meeting/date/email. Not just the beginning. But its a good advice tho. It makes the sender seems more "to the point" without losing his human side.

He has a point, but you need to account for spam/phishing and quantity of emails the recipient receives. “Hey, how are you?” Maybe the tagline that encourages them to open your email.
