Thanks so much for this tutorial! A little tip for those who can't hear their recording in a media player: Chances are, that it won't play the separated tracks, but once the mp4 file is in Davinci Resolve or any other video editing software, the tracks should be there, as shown in the video.

Now I feel like an idiot... 4 videos into this Youtuber thing and I still didn't know how to separate audio tracks. Really helped me out, best wishes man.

I've watched dozs of tutorials on this and everyone did adobe. My previous recording played so well with davinci but was too unreliable. I wanted to switch to obs. You're the first person THAT SHOWED ME DAVINCI!!! Thank you so much! Following dozs of tutorials I kept ending up with 1 file and 1 track over and over. Also you set a horrific atmosphere in Mortuary Assistant so well done x2!

Having control over volumes makes everything better.. Now I can not only balance out my game and mic audio, I can also export my mic audio and process it in say, Audacity, and then put it back in.. Better quality overall ! <3

I use capcut pc for editing, and when I bring in the video file, it doesn't separate the audio, it just shows the clip. Should i switch to a new editing software, or what do I do?

Thank you so much. I have been trying to work this out for a while. I am confused over the MKV, MP4 setting and didn't notice you mention that. However, I have left mine on MKV as OBS recommended it in case of corruption and it seems to be working on my editor in case anyone else is worried.

I am fine with my desktop audio playing all sounds through my stream, but when I want to be in discord voice chat or Xbox party chat, I want my friends voices to be separate.

So I’m having trouble with the video quality when that happens. I get the same message that you receive at 1:53. Is there anything to fix that?
