This plugins functionality is now included in the latest versions of OBS, so there's no need to download or install the plugin anymore. Everything else in this guide is still the same though!

Very grateful that you have put these series out. I am extremely new to capturing and the learning curve is daunting, but your videos are clear, concise, logically presented and well thought out. I have learned a great deal from just a few of your videos and will watch most if not all over the next few weeks. Much thanks again

Somehow you always seem to come out with a video answering the questions I'm asking myself at that very moment. Brilliant!

OK, for people wanting to capture sound alert audio, via a browser source:

Double click the browser sources then in the properties window tick the "control audio via OBS" box. That adds it as a separate source in the mixer. This will send to stream but not you, yet.

Then, in the audio mixer, click on the cogs, then for all your browser alerts change it to monitoring and output, then you'll be able to hear them too

You sir have earned yourself a subscriber I was trying to figure it out for so long and first thing I search up and your video came up, I can honestly say you was 100% on point no distractions or dragging it out just straight to the point and I thank you my good man.

Also gonna be checking out your other videos as well this will help me in the long run so thank you.

This. This is the integration we needed for so long. Thank you so much for the info; no more mixing app audio from outside of OBS. This is massive.

Genuinely, this was my next bit of research to undertake...and you just did it all for me! Thank you.

I have been looking for a way to separate MusicBee from my "desktop audio" so when I am recording I can setup on different channels and if need be completely remove the music from the game audio. This has given me that option. Thanks again.

Dude this was just what i needed, you made getting this set up so simple. That nested scene tip is so great. Thank you!

This is an EXCELLENT guide!

Also, remember to make sure to go into Advanced Audio Properties and make sure that track 6 is unchecked next to your music source so music doesn't save to your VOD, but everything else does. This will minimize the risk of getting a strike :)

Thank you so much for this! Using this from now on!

This is exactly what I want without installing complicated setup. Separated audio sources by software is a great idea

Oh my god I’ve been wondering about this for a while now. It’s like I want to play music in my streams but when I make complications I prefer a different track. This is so perfect to watch over my lunch THANK YOU!

Thanks for the vid! Quick PSA - It appears OBS has added this functionality directly now, so there's a "Application Audio Capture" option at the top of the list of available sources

this is why I go to you. Most other guides are 10+ minutes of fluff and stuff I don't need. Or its saturated with too many things I don't want. You get straight to the point and don't worry about the video needing to reach a certain time. It's quality content that we all need and you are the best at delivering it.

Keep up the great work and have a wonderful new year.

I just started streaming and this guide for the audio mixer was PERFECT. I got it in one go and it sounds lovely. Absolutely brilliant mate, thank you so much.

I have re-watched this video and shared it SO many times. Every time I need to set up OBS on a new computer I re-watch it. I've even shared it with youtubers I know with much bigger channels (like over 100K!) who apparently didn't know this stuff. SO useful and simple to do.

This video is a master class on providing MAXIMUM VALUE in a condensed video, while also directing people to other helpful guides you've made. AMAZING! I love your stuff so much. Thank you thank you

OMG, that is such an improvement to OBS! I was always wondering, why OBS does not support to handle all sources in the mixer, like the Browser source.
I only need to rearrange my OBS layout as I have a more complex mixer now ^^
Thanks for all the quality stuff you upload, you do an excellent job!
