My fave actor since i was a kid in the 70s, i still remember his passing to this day vividly, over the years not only do i have all his films but collected the models of his film cars and bike, also i have a canvas of him in my front room on the bike from the great escape, looking upstairs to a canvas of him in le mans, he left too soon but he packed in so much in his 50 years existence. Like all of us, he had his flaws but his authenticity sets him apart. When I was a boy I looked up to characters he portrayed. I thought to myself, "I could be like that someday."
