How to Repair a Broken Chair Leg

My dining room chairs have no lower cross bracing so the legs are very susceptible to breaking in this exact location as any snag on the floor causes enormous leverage at the joint holding the legs on to the body of the chair. Run on sentence much?

Not bad on repair, I would have gone about it slightly different though. I'd had used that silly machine over there in the corner to fabricate a thicker new piece to brace. Also wonder if the pad is to worn or damaged causing the excessive catch on the tile. If no damaged or excessive wear exists, try coating pads with paste wax to help ease the transition.

This project reminds me of the video you put together a while back that investigated (measured) the strength and integrity of joints (connections....not spleef, mon). Also, I'm thinking that maybe you should grow a beard, mustache, or....you know....hair...as you are starting to resemble Adam

Just like downtown, you might want to put big feet on the bottom of the chair legs too, someting twice as wide as your grout lines with felt on them slide, or gett thechild labour to move you and the chair into place, tell the you will "Let them eat cake "
