Create a Virtual Machine in VMware Workstation Pro

In this video tutorial, I demonstrate how to create a new virtual machine in VMware Workstation Pro. I show how to create and configure the settings for the vm hardware and also how to install the operating system using an ISO image file.

Today, more so than ever, it is crucial that students learn about the importance of computer virtualization. This is why NDG teamed up with the VMware to create an introductory course on virtualization for beginners. As a video content creator I was asked to create a series of videos to go along with the course. Hi Dan! Thank you for your video. However I have a few Qs regarding "Specify Disk Capacity". What is the difference between the option "Store virtual disk as a single file" and "split virtual disk into multiple files", and if I want to run virtual machines from a SSD, which of the options is better? hi, i am running windows 7, but i have hardware ( thermal disc printers ) that need running from windows xp, , can i use a virtual machine on my windows 7 to create xp os to run my thermal printers ???? i was just going to install a dual os on each of my partitions, but if this will work my hardware from a virtual xp os then jobs a good en ??? anyone know, or does anyone know what i mean, , cheers

Might be a rookie question but now that you have Ubuntu running on vmware, can you access that from your physical computer? Treat it like a file server?
