Daniel didn't fast for 21 days, he mourned for 21 days! Completely different meanings! Fasting actually means to not eat anything at all during the fast, Daniel still ate food, just not choice foods. Daniel "fasts" are false, made up corporate "fasts" by modern Christianity. Fasting is powerful and a very serious matter...modern Christianity dances around its significance by "fasting" coffee, sweets, Netflix, social media etc. The true meaning of the Greek and Hebrew word for Fasting is to cover one's mouth or to abstain from ALL food. Food is the life source for humans, not eating means we are saying that God is more important than my life. Only "fasting" partial food items [which is not biblical) and nonsense things is almost like mocking God, it's playing pretend and expecting God to show up and move in your life.
