The rally at 0:40 should not even be humanly possible. Only Roger Federer!

He's the only one who made tennis look beautiful. Full of elegance! Will be missed! My all time favourite 😍.

Stayed up all night in Hawaii watching the 2017 match against Nadal. Still the greatest match I've ever seen.

Tributes in words are great. But tributes of his shots? Bawling my eyes out. BEAUTIFUL TENNIS!

In my humble opinion:

#10: Pretty common great point from Federer, but not to be included in a 10 point list. In fact, Federer during that match against Murray produced better points. What about that classic point against Tsonga in the semis that same year, where he ended the point with a massive, complex forehand after an epic rally?

#9: Great point, but it was a double bounce, so I wouldn't include it. Instead, I would add that magical forehand half-volley against Cilic in the 2018 final.

#8: Great get, but nothing special for Roger. I would include the amazing defense and shot-making displayed against Tomic in the 3R of 2013, with the score 6-4, 5-5 (30-30)? Amazing.

#7: Definitely deserves a spot. The anticipation shown was beyond belief.

#6: Deserves a spot. That get was unreal, milimeters away from the ground.

#5: Top notch point, but I think Wawrinka didn't do enough with the approaching shot. I would include in this spot that epic rally against Rafa in the 2009 final. The score was 5-7, 2-1 (30-40, Nadal serving). The shot-making was unreal, and Roger finished the point with a perfect forehand placed exactly on the left line.

#4: Great shot, but very easy for Roger. That Nishikori shot selection would have been great against John Isner or Donald Young, but not against Roger. Instead, I would include that famous shot against Roddick in the semis of 2007. Federer was 6-4, 2-0 up. Roddick hits a massive serve, Roger mishits the return from the forehand side, but gets the ball in near the net. Roddick rushes and smashes the ball, and Roger hits one of the most insane half-volleys ever from the backhand side. Classic stuff.

#3: Deserves a spot. Interesting rally with two lobs involved from the same player. The finishing lob was perfect, cleaning the base line.

#2: Deserves a spot. Classic defense displayed. Novak's finishing skills on the net are not among the best, but still managed to do enough to take the point. Pure defense instinct by Roger.

#1: Agree. His most iconic point, in his most iconic night. One of the most iconic points in the history of the sport. Fifth set, epic, intense rally, finished by a Federer classic forehand.

Great video.

Yes, the Nr.1 is my all time favorite, I've looking back to this match and point over and over and over and over again, just wow!

I still think number 6 where he beat Hewett was the best. On the back foot the entire time, makes countless impossible shots and somehow wins. Absolutely incredible

I'm nearly crying every time I see the #1 point. Despite even here were many more entertaining points, this one is probably the most important and emotional of all his career. Chum jetze!

It isn't like Roger wasn't beatable. He lost his fair share of matches. But it doesn't take away from his greatness. The most memorable Federer matches to me are those where he starts slow and looks vulnerable. Then, miraculously, he dons the suit and cape, turning into Roger Federer, and then the fat lady sings and it's all over for his opponent. Andy Roddick said as much during a post match interview where started strong against Roger, and then Federer suddenly took the match over and Roddick didn't have a chance.

Half of these points are from 2017 when the man was 35 years old. Well past what anyone would normally call an athlete's "prime" especially in the sport of tennis. Just incredible how much he gave to this sport. We will have plenty of highlight reels in the years to come to satiate us when Djokovic and Nadal leave the sport. I don't know how long it wil be before such genius graces the game again. We have been spoiled these last 2 decades.
