Literally the first time I’ve listened to this band.

And I came away impressed. Been a core guy for 25 years and of course instrumentally they’re impressive. I guess I’ve discovered them in a transitional period. I’m impressed with the young lady handling vocals. I’m hearing a pop singer that can death growl, but the “pop” aspect is what I find enjoyable here. Her vocals leading are an interesting and enjoyable little twist, like mixing lemonade and sweet tea. It’s poppy, chuggy and just downright fun. The chorus is a work of art.

In a genre (metalcore) where unique sound is hard to come by, this new direction of Novelists sets them apart from others. It's like a combination of their old sound fused with this mixture of In This styles. The perfect amount of catchiness in my metalcore. Love it.
