I have been a fan of Dune Books since I was a child. Sardaukar has always been my favorite. So I made a video of them. Song: Danheim- Runar

One part from the book they got right was how the Sardukaar descended on suspensor belts. I thought that was cool.

The way Denis Villenuve depicted the Sardukar, reminds me of how Darth Vader was shown in Rogue One-a silent, terrifying force.

The thing that makes Sardaukar, Sardaukar: the looks of pure contempt on their faces for anyone who isn't the Emperor, or a Sardaukar. They look at you like you are prey, or an inconveniance.

The way they wipe their swords, really reminded me of the samurai. So epic.

Salusa secundus was a prison planet originally, very harsh, like Arrakis. The Corrino family then trained up the survivors into the Sardaukar. This is partly why the Emperor is so interested in Arrakis. He fears the combination of the Fremen and Atreides training could defeat him. He is correct.

The way they just walk with the sword outstretched is such a badass 'eff-u' stance, especially with glowering through those transparent face-plates.

Most sci fi armies have a full helmet to cover the faces of the soldiers to dehumanise them but I like how you can see the sardaukar’s scowl, it makes them more intimidating rather than unnerving

Props to all of the extras playing Sardaukar soldiers. The facial expressions and body movements really convey that they are highly disciplined killing machines. You can really sense the bloodthirst of that bearded Saudakar at 0:17

Just shows you how badass Duncan Idaho is considering how damn terrifying these guys are

I found it very epic when that one fremen heard the sardaukars coming (completely silent descent). It's not shown in the clip, but in that grotto were a bunch of fremen chilling. They heard them coming and that's why there is that sand ambush at 1:30.

I like the contrast of Arrakis having so little water the inhabitants kill for it and use their own waste and Salusa is the opposite how the water seems like a fact of life.

One of many ways the new Dune gets it right - the old Dune 2000 merely showed them as more competent versions of the Harkonnen. Here, you can clearly tell the Sardaukar are far above that. The attention to detail is just so much greater.

The only problem I have with Villeneuve's Dune was how minimalist it was with it's design, making it look like any other modern sci fi. When I envision the characters of Dune, I see a riot of color and ornate uniforms. The Sardaukar I particularly like to envision looking like the Prussian Totenkopf hussars.

This must have been an extremely harsh, sad life to live....that is if you mad it through the training to become a Sardaukar soldier.
Those that didn't have what it takes become a sacrifice, and their blood would anoint those that did succeed.

This is an incredible music and mantra. I do not understand the meaning of it as listen to it now but every sound vibrates in my mind as an eternal mantra against evil. Unbelieveable . I found it tonight when I needed the most. The new dune films achived achieved something that nothing could before. 👌👌👍👍

Dune Finally Got the Perfect Director, he even makes them take the time to wipe the blood from there weapons after each fight,

Villeneuve has accomplished where Lynch had failed: Inducing fear for the Sardaukar into the mind of the viewer.
