A lot of my favorite Starset songs are the ones that seem to point and laugh at you. I think Starset is at their best with jaded, sarcastic, and arrogant lyrics, rather than their usual ‘lovesick’ comfort zone. We’ve had a few of these songs in previous albums, like Other Worlds or Devolution, but they really seem to be leaning into it hard now with these new songs that are coming out.

This song has a lot of meaning to me. I used to get myself trapped in doomscrolling loops on social media platforms. At the time I barely even noticed it, but thanks to my partner i got out of it for good. Social media has its uses, but it's been weaponised to poison you. Algorithms will drag you in to more and more extremist content without you or it realising. It's designed to keep you there as long as possible, with no regard for how it is affecting you. Thank you, Starset, for bringing awareness to this problem. And with an absolutely brilliant song at that. You guys are the G.O.A.T.
