Okay, this is it!!! MAVERICKS - Episode 5.
My 5th short film from my fan-series. A fictional story about what happened to Boomer Kuwanger after being defeated by X.

"Mavericks" is my own fictional series about the events after Mega Man X.
It basically asks the question: What if all the Maverick Bosses survived? Showing their side of the events.

This was my biggest project yet:
- 9 months of work
- almost 5 minutes long
- 15 characters
- a one minute long fight scene
- all in ONE take

What I learned making this film:
- planning ahead (still struggling)
- humanoid animations (darn walk cycles!!!)
- using physics for shattering glass, sparks & debris
- dealing with fog (still tricky and noisy)
- using linked characters
- rigging and animating faces
- texturing efficiently
- timing your scenes
- lighting
- better file management

i love the implication that boomer kuwanger had transcended through speed gear's usage that he's essentially rescuing HIMSELF
an absolutely terrifying take for someone who was so eager to fight X

i'm excited to see how flame mammoth, armored armadillo and chill penguin will go in these next episodes, that amount of talent is genuinely beyond for an animator

Sick seeing the Speed Gear become relevant in the X games, especially causing time travel shenanigans. Also I love the fact that Kuwanger does the Deadlift grab that made me particularly happy.

Kuwanger got some sick upgrades from the Gear! That is so interesting development.

Note that most Reploids around look the same, those are mass produced, off the shelf Hunters. They send newbie to guard a dangerous Maverick.

The fact that Kuwanger travels back to time using the Speed Gear isn't far-fetched as in the game the Speed Gear can slows down time (or speed it up, depends on who's perceptive.) The tech itself is ancient (20XX) but it is glitching, which means that it is probably damage and is unable to properly function as its intended function.

Good job, and keep building up more Megaman X Lore!

Growing up, Boomer here was one of those Irregulars that I could never beat without the Homing Missile. He was too fast and unpredictable to me.

For a brief span of time, I felt like I was seeing the *real* Boomer Kuwanger in action. The genuine dread he used to give me. What a masterpiece. Absolute chills!

I have no idea how I got here, but I am never going away.
As a big Mega Man X fan, this blow my mind. This shows that there is something that movie and/or game studios can not buy: Love and passion for a proyect, and this have tons of both.

I just LOVE how you manage to bring realism to a cartoonish game without sacrificing the cartoonish look that's become so iconic. Hope you eventually get to all of them. I've been picturing since the Spark Mandrill one, Flame Mammoth reigniting the fires in his frozen factory.

He really gives off the vibes of being made for war, which is very fetting given he was once a Maverick Hunter, and we least know Sigma was made purely to hunt Mavericks, plus Vile is hinted as much. Very nicely done and all around good job.
