Hey! Nice vid, but for me catalyst is way better than warp even if it takes time. One more thing :) did you ever try the a7C with the 24-105 oss sony lens? The stabilization works awesome with those lens

A7iii does *NOT* record/provide gyro data! the A7*s*iii does. Important distinction.

Gyro not working for photos, reducing the shot by ~15-30%, requiring IBIS to be turned off, and the export time you mentioned are kind of deal breakers for me personally. I don’t think I understand it’s appeal when other solutions are so accessible

T Hanks for the review. Tested this in1080p from A7c on the M1 Mac. Export tome was about 1:1 but running as no- native Intel software. In theory and in time catalyst browser would run a lot faster once Sony releases a native Mac M1 build.

Thank you for the video, it was very helpful.
I love the gyro idea. Although it takes a while to export, I have a second laptop which I use for uploading so I can put it to use in stabilizing footage so it doesn't slow down my main laptop.
I'd love to see the gyro vs gimbal and also a combination of different stabilization techniques gyro+gimbal, gyro + warp, gimbal+gyro+warp just to see how far stabilization can be pushed and if it's possible to replace a gimbal with a bit of handheld practice.

I just purchased the sony zv-1 - this little tiny thing also has gyro-data and can be stabilized by catalyst browse. Amazing!

This could work for my type of videos. They are all for social media content. So mostly it would be tracking a subject for 4 - 5 seconds maybe a bit of orbital movement. It would only be selected clips and Id use a wider lens taking in to account the crop. Its a great feature for my workflow as I really don't want to lug a gimbal around. My only problem is the ergonomics of the A7C - I think if I used it as a video only camera with a light zoom like the Tamron 17-28 I could get some good footage. Im a Nikon user at the moment so its a difficult decision because the new Z6II looks a great camera with improved AF and fantastic ergonomics.

Nice video, I hope I can at least send a short video + gyro data to my iPhone to do this job. 25 minutes is not good. May I know what CPU, GPU were using for this example?
