If the seed is hard to remove, the avocado isn’t ripe. A ripe avocado seed falls right out

If the flesh is sticking to the seed like that, which you could see when you split it in two, it’s not quite ripe enough to pop out the seed. But it does work!

Just stab it with a knife, twist, and it will come off. Same with cutting the avocado in half, twist both halves and they will separate. Also, don’t forger to take the avocado out by using spoon, it’s so effortless.

Edit: step by step:
- make sure your avocado is ripe, otherwise no hack will wok on it. You can do that by removing the stem and seeing the actual avocado. If it is green then it's ripe
- cut the avocado in half around the pit. Cut it from bottom to the top, so your 2 halves are resembling the pear shape a bit
- twist the two halves and they should come apart. One will hold the pit while the other one will be pit free
- stab a knife into the pit while holding the avocado half in place. Stabbing it with the tip of the knife can be dangerous, so you can stab it as if you were to cut the pit. Cut it deep enough so that the knife is essencially 'stuck'
- when the knife is securely set in the pit twist it slowly. I usually twist it sideways so I'm tilting the knife to a side. The pit should come off
- take a tablespoon and scoop the avocado out

trying hacks usually just disappoints me. I recommend cutting it in half, hitting the pit with the sharp end of a knife and twisting! just be careful with the knife!! also second!

I have an avocado tool. Has a “blade” (made of plastic)for cutting, a pit remover and slotted scoop to scoop and slice the insides out. Works for me and worth it. Then I don’t have to worry about using a knife to hit the pit for removal.

My mother in law taught me many years ago how to make homemade Guacamole, just Iike her family back in Durango used to make, and while we were getting started, she showed me how to use a regular ol' spoon to gently press around the edges of the seed, and gently dig it out of the middle without destroying the avocado! The seed comes out nearly totally clean, every. Single. Time! She also taught me how to use a spoon the same way with a kiwi fruit skin! Not quite as easy as an avocado, but spoons are more versatile than we give them credit for, I think 😜 I was stoked to find out when I moved 9 years ago that Australians do that trick with kiwis, too! My mother in law is so amazingly awesome, and I'm always so thankful that she shared this knowledge with me 💕

Try a spoon, Cassey 🙂👍 I promise it will work, and will save so much time! Ripeness of the avocado may have alot to do with why the tik tok hack works for some and not others. I doubt this would work if your avocado was too firm and still kinda green 🤔

I cut all the way round, turn to the sides to separate, then the side with the seed cut on two more halfs but now horizontal and it goes out smoothly~🌸

As a mexican, I work a lot with avocados, and the best way i find is to take out the seed is to grab the knife and kind of stab it in the middle (without caring that much) and then you pull it out really easily 🥰👍.

As someone cutting avocados for years now the method I use is, twist to get avocado open and use middle of the knife to chop at the pit and when the knife is stuck in the pit, I twist. Then you can use a napkin to get the pit off the knife.

Hi. Just cut the Avocado in half like you did. Then lightly hack the knife into seed so that it goes in about an inch or so deep. Now turn the knife clockwise or counterclockwise, whichever is easier. It should come right out.

Tip for separating the slices! Once you get the cut, you take the avacodo and twist the sides back and forth, going separate directions.

Yes! Once you cut around the middle just twist the halves in opposite directions to place the half of avocado with seed on the table, use the same sharp knife and do a quick chop motion onto the centre of the seed.... once the knife is stuck in seed, just twist the knife and it pops right out.... no avocado will stick to the seed and you don't dirty your hands. DO NOT HOLD THE AVOCADO OR TOUCH THE AVOCADO WHILE CHOPPING THE SEED. NO NEED JUST FIRMLY CHOP DIRECTLY INTO SEED. Give it a try
