If I remember right from the books, what kept Spartans like John and Linda from being on a team like Black or Grey team is that they still worked well with other teams and were receptive to orders from other officers. Black and Grey were created due to them not working well with other units and operating better without a chain of command which is why they primarily operated behind enemy lines where they'd have little communication with the UNSC during their mission

Linda was the only one on Blue team that could be considered a "Lone wolf"
(Before most of the Spartans died at least) even John-117 wasn't used to fighting on his own on the first Halo Ring, he almost got taken out by an elite shortly after his Bumblebee-Class Lifepod crashed onto the Rings surface because he was so used to having someone covering his back.

The hyper lethal designation is only ever given to Spartans you play as in the game as a way to explain the player going through literal hordes of enemies. I believe spartan IV Locke is the only one who doesn't get the designation.

Ah yes the super lethal Spartan Black team that were so deadly they got wrecked by the Didact off screen in a comic. The same Didact that got stomped by Blue Team and Chief by himself on two separate occasions.

(I kid, but really didn't get much about them except a few mentions so we just have to take Bungies word that they were extra deadly.)

I thought blue team was the highest quality spartan II. You have 4 of the most talented spartans, Kelly the fastest spartan, Linda the greatest sniper, even Fred who is second best is still in the best team, and obviously we got John, who is the most decorated spartan.

To be labeled HYPER LETHAL amongst elite of the ELITE is a testament to how deadly NOBLE 6 was. Noble team died so humanity could fly

I still think Fred is the most skilled spartan 2. In one of the novels. Fred came second in every category, Chief also noticed that Fred would lose on purpose so as to not take first place. Eg when he slowed down at the end of his race against Kelly who is known as the fastest spartan 2.

I remember once in “fall of reach” during their training, there was a team composed of all the Spartans, and one team that was just Linda and Sam, and Sam complained that all he did was be her spotter. She her whole unit

Chief and 6 are the only Spartans with Hyper lethal rating

Caboose from blue team is definitely Hyper Lethal, but not for the reason you’d think.

The only two Spartans classified by Halsey as hyper-lethal were B-312 and John-117 but the other you mentioned are pretty dangerous, yeah.
