so did you actually take this med and have the side effects or are you just listing everything to scare people off? Not every person will have these side effects.

I use metformin for about 5 yrs and have no side effects.

Metformin definitely cured my constipation and flattened my stomach. The bowel cleansing effect completely cleaned my body out. Weight gain is often linked to constippation and waste being stuck in the colon and resting boosting, bad breath, gut health problems, etc. and metformin keeps my bowels regular and has given me energy to wake up in the morning again.

Thank you for the video. Metformin can be great for some, but not so much for many others. We should be open to multiple alternatives and hopefully new pharmaceutical options will come about as well.

I've taken metformin for 14 years with no side effects! My A1C numbers are good. All medications have a list of possible side effects.

Oh right :/ Metformin helped me at the beggining when my IR symptoms were severe BUT it came with neurological issues (probably due to inability to absorb B12, check up on that guys!) and of course no words about that from doctors..

My dr. had mentioned "metformin", but also recommended changes in diet to low carb or even keto. I'm happy I have this dr. :) thanks for the info.

Only decreased appetite and a normal period. And I love it!!!

Thank you, Kait, for posting this information! I was on Metformin and never again will I ever take that medicine! My sleep was interrupted because I would wake hours before my normal waking and I was constantly hungry. I was already following a moderately low-carb diet and exercising four times per week. I am now eating a low-carb diet and on some days, a carnivore diet.

That's exactly why I don't want to take it. I've seen first hand the side effects, especially the diarrhea. I'm trying so hard to get my A1c down from 7.1. I get another blood draw this Friday. If I don't get it down the doctor says I have to get started on it and the poking fingers. I'm praying. Started apple cider vinegar 2 weeks ago. Trying everything. Changed diet too

All meds have similar side effects that only affect a small percentage of people.
