In Canadian French, eggnog is “lait de poule”….chicken milk. This is in fact why it is only out at Christmas, as it takes that long to milk the chickens in adequate supply.

After listening to Laurence all these years, I’ve come to realize that half the things we think are American, are really British things that got lost on this side of the pond.🐝🤗❤️

“How many has he had?”
“None, that’s the first one! He hadn’t touched IT yet. He just likes to hold it.”

I love non-alcoholic eggnog. Cold with a touch of cinnamon. Delicious

I know this isn’t the point, but I’m proud of you for remaining abstinent from alcohol and sugar. I’m saying that from a self-control standpoint, not to bash alcohol or sugar consumers. It takes a lot of willpower, and you’re a great example. Thank you.

Dude, your creative flair has really been on display lately. Your stylistic voice and character has been so confident. It's really showing. Good on you!

Egg nog is good stuff. Home made egg nog is life changing (Dylan Hollis does a recipe from the 1890s that he says "ruins all other egg nog" and IIRC it looked incredibly easy).

I love that the glass is close to the camera and in focus, while Laurence is far back and blurry, it's as if Laurence is interrogating it!

In Shetland, which is deeply influenced by its Scandinavian heritage, people enjoyed a drink known as Whipkull which was a drink of ancient lineage served at the end of a breakfast Yule feast. It was made of a dozen egg yolks, a pound of sugar, a half pint of rum and a quart of fresh cream with shortbread served on the side.

*eggnog is also very good when substituted for water when producing pancakes of waffle like structures to be consumed during breakfast*

I love egg nog. Here in Canada it is a Christmas staple and is available at most grocery stores at this time of year. Mix it with spiced rum for best results.
