This is the kinda music that YouTube doesn't recommend but you have to search for it. If you're here you have good taste in music... dedicated to late MAPs!

Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergrass, Barry White. I’m a white 70 year old that grew up in the right time period. We had so many men and women singers that were so talented. Marilyn McCoo and Karen Carpenter on the female side. Unforgettable people.

My name is Paulinus Nsek and even though I'm Nigerian by birth, I grew up in Houston, TX. in the 1970s when, in my opinion, most of the timeless hits were sung. This particular song by Lou Rawls sends me into indescribable nostalgia and I sincerely wish I could turn back the hands of time 😢😢😢. For all the younger generations, the 1970 up to the early 1980s was indeed the best time to grow up ... May GOD bless us all ❤!

His voice is so smooth, My Dad would sing this to my Mum when they danced together in our front room when we were little... a sight to behold... Dad was 6 foot.. mum was 5 foot plus an few inches... she was the boss though... I wish I could see them again with the big smiles... and the Kiss at the end of the dance, my dad had a great voice and Mum loved him singing and dancing in front of us kids.... those years gave us respect for ladies and we carried it on to our children

A stone cold Philly classic, so timeless too, this 1976 smash won a Grammy for the singer, songwriter, producer Lou Rawls who was known for his smooth vocal tone

Lou Rawls' voice is like a perfectly aged, velvety glass of bourbon infused with a sprinkle of humor. It's a smooth operator, buttering up your ears with its richness and charm, making you feel like you're sipping on a delightful cocktail of soulful melodies. His voice could turn a frown into a cheeky grin and whisk your worries away like a mischievous breeze. So incredibly refined, it's like a mischievous jazz cat playing hide-and-seek with your heartstrings, leaving a trail of laughter and joy in its wake.
