I had one in 1972. Lived in Tampa Florida and got it up to 135 mph across the Courtney Campbell Causeway between Tampa and St. Petersburg. Then the death wobble started and I was glad to get it back under control. The bike had nothing under 2000 rpm but would lift its front wheel when you hit second gear. It is still the only bike that frightened me when I rode it.

Best friend had one just like this. Tuned by Hot Bike Engineering of Fremont, CA back in 1975. Ridden by one of their riders it was doing low 10 second quarter miles(124 mph maybe) at Fremont Raceway. I think I was doing 13's with my 73 RD350. We are both lucky to still be alive riding those bikes in the mountains of Northern California back then. But had a ton of fun.

Beautiful H2. It rode just fine for me. Perfect power to weight. SW suspension and bronze bushings in the swing arm and it handled real good. I really miss my H2. Wish I never sold it. Great Bike!

This was my dream bike for many years. I would pay good money for one in excellent condition.

Used to be a guy in my neighborhood growing up in the '70's that had one of these things.  He would go screaming up and down the street on it like a lunatic, we loved it as little kids.  We affectionately called him, "Motorcycle Jerk."

Yeah! I bought one new in 1972...paid cash $1, 100 & got a nice full coverage helmet with it for that price! Sold it 30 years ago for exactly what I paid for it...regretted it ever since!! THE ROCKET WITH A SPROCKET!! Love those 2-Strokes!!

Beautiful! I had one of these in 500cc around 1981. First bike I ever owned. Learned to work a clutch with it.

I had a '72 as well.  One problem I recall was that the motor vibrations would cause the exhaust flange studs/bolts to loosen.  Finally I picked up a half dozen galvanized metric Allen head screws of the proper length, and very carefully(and with Loctite), secured them.  Never had that problem again.

The first time I rode this beast was in 1976. It was a friend's bike, he let me take it down the main highway in our then small town. I owned a Kawasaki 125 at the time, and was not prepared for the astonishing G-force acceleration this thing doled out. It was almost funny, I recall- if I wasn't so scared shitless. Great bike for the time, if you didn't mind the shortcomings the bike had, that the acceleration caused you to forget. What a blast!

The H2 might have had only 72HP, but every single one of those horses had an attitude.

Freakin' awesome! I have two '75 h2's. One has Denco pipes on it but they don't sound as crsip as those, Higgs? The other, I found in a field after sitting there for 16yrs. Just got the title, and starting a complete resto. So that'll be two sets of those pipes. Love these bikes.

loved that bike put many a mile on mine . I almost wrecked it the first time I rode it. The dampner was adjusted loose and I went into a high speed wobble at about 90 and barely survived. 50 foot pounds of torque at 4000 rpm . Never had a problem stopping.

The problem with these two stroke triples is the horsepower and acceleration exceeded the chassis ability to handle and stop, but as long as you used your head, lots of fun.

Nice bike! I used to put them together out of the crate for a dealer I raced for.

They look and sound like Higgspeed chambers! Great looking bike!
